We saw you gals at the Stables on Wednesday and were completely blown away by how 'together' and talented you all are. Your voices blended together so well and your harmonies brought a tear to the eye! You all obviously love what you do, and seeing you enjoy yourselves so much on stage made us enjoy the music even more. It's so refreshing to see such 'raw talent' (remember that famous quote Amy?!) and to get back to basics with music that makes you smile. So thank you very very much and we hope to see you again before too long xxx

This is the fourth time I've been lucky enough to see you play. Each time I've thought the playing and singing seemed effortless. However, the more gigs you seem to be playing, the better it gets. I haven't seen you in some months, and, at the Stables on Wednesday, you all seem even more 'there' and together in the songs than ever. Bring on the second album! Bring on the US tour!

Thanks for a great evening's music last night at The Stables. What a bonus to hear you as well as The Storys. Wonderful harmonies and guitar playing, together with personality and rapport with the audience too. Hope to see you again - good luck.

Came to the Stables tonight to see the Storeys but was most impressed by Hummingbird. Superb harmonies and lead vocals and nice to see acoustic guitars used with capos..(remember to move it next time Edwina!!)....and played in different keys. Here's wishing you all the luck that real music needs these days......keep smiling.

Everyone deserves the plesure of listening to it. Text 88291 to request Sine On. You don't even have to be listening to Radio 2 - just send the odd text every now and again!! 88291 xx |

So sorry to any of you that travelled to the gig on Saturday. Unfortunately the promoter pulled the gig at the very last minute which meant we had no time to let anyone know - please accept our apologies and we really hope to see you at another gig. Best Wishes Hummingbird

Very disappointed that the Sutton Coldfield gig on Saturday was cancelled with no warning given - eg by email - to those who had booked, many of whom had travelled long distances. And what was the reason? Mayfest on Sunday appears to have gone ahead.

keith smith - 28/05/2007 09:48
saw you at Mayfest yesterday and was blown away. Fantastic songs, musicianship and harmonies. And most importantly, you were enjoying yourselves, even in the face of an extremely loud talking woman. Thanks - it was a great set!! keith

We saw you in the Y-Theartre in Leicester during your tour - and in the concrete car park again afterwards! We bought the CD and I kept my promise to play in on the hospital radio. Not that it will make a big difference, but every little helps. Better news is that at about 8.50 this morning (Sunday, 27th May) I heard Aled Jones play "Live Your Life Laughing" on Radio 2. He said it was the first time you had been played on national radio and he said he would play another track next week. I'm really pleased for you - I hope this starts a ripple effect with other producers and you get the recognition you deserve. Another act who managed overnight success in only, erm, how many years?? :o) I'm really pleased for you and we're glad we caught you on the way up. Keep on plugging away, there are too many people who haven't heard you yet and deserve to. Rob x

Gareth funkycat Hayes - 14/05/2007 13:24
I wrote up your gig on another site and think that it (edited) sits better here. Go girls. Humming! 18.04.07 Half Moon Putney Hummingbird Having seen Jon Amor share a bill with Amy Wadge way back in June 2004 at the Borderline, and seeing him lined up to an acoustic double with Edwina Hayes in July this year, I couldn’t resist this gig. Hummingbird are a girlie pop-folk ‘supergroup’ made up of Amy Wadge, Edwina Hayes and Cathy Burton currently touring but having their own well-received careers too. Oh, this cat was going to pounce and bounce across the bins. Cathy has a magic smile, Amy mischievious - a wicked edged Wadge, and Edwina a cheeky control. Supported by upcoming Rob Bowden, who impressed with a down and dirty blues number, it was a civilised affair with technical problems calling for superior anecdote and banter but with a feminine vibe. Shine On, Lullaby, Everybody’s Fool, Grace of God, Love’s Invited, Lonely People, I Want Your Love, Freefall, You Don’t Love Me, Tougher Than Love, Pour Me A Drink, Love Wouldn’t Leave, Clean, Live Your Life and encores of I Shall Be Released and Hold Me was what was written on Ed’s Backup Setlist and didn’t deviate; Clean and Grace of God and I Want Your Love touching me. No need to jump the bins, after a frantic ten days this rested my soul. See you at Mayfest with the funkydorycats

Theres a band I know called Hummingbird, Who are so good it's quite absurd, Three wonderful voices that all come together, To leave songs in your head that last forever, All of them talented, beautiful and witty, If you've not heard them,It's a real pitty, So go see this band if you have the chance, Coz compared to these three the rest are just pants!! Thats my official review of you guys!! Hehe! Just thought I'd put it up here too incase anybody was undecided as to wether to go or not!! :o) Loved the last tour, can't wait for the next!!! Loads of love!! xxx
